  • Heavier: Counterweights add significant bulk. A mid-range EQ mount with counterweights can easily weigh 15-25 kg.
  • Learning curve: The movement axes aren't intuitive. When you first use an EQ mount, pushing the scope "up" might move it diagonally. It takes practice.
